Chronic pain relates to anybody who has been enduring pain and/or dysfunction for any time period over 2-3 months.  At Forefront Therapy, we take pride in seeing each individual for who he or she is as an entire person, not simply their diagnosis. We take a very thorough and diverse approach, looking at physical well-being, pain neuroscience, sleeping habits, eating habits, lifestyle habits, ergonomics, social well-being, and more to create an individualized plan like you have not experienced. We have dedicated time allotted to serving those who are dealing with chronic pain. Call today and let us show you the difference to help improve your quality of life!

Forefront Therapy

Running/Sports Performance

We are excited to be able to dedicate time for our Running/Sports Performance Program. We will provide slow motion video kinematic gait analysis, preventive screening, wellness programs, performance training, and more!  Call today to schedule an appointment with your specialist!

Forefront Therapy

HYPERMOBILITY

Research shows that nearly 20% of our population deal with excessive hypermobility. Hypermobility leaves an individual with excessively loose joints, poor movement patterns, difficulty gaining and maintaining strength, increased sensitivity to different environmental stressors, and more.  Different disease processes that represent this spectrum are Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Marfan's Syndrome, Generalized Hypermobility Disorders, to name a few.  Our state of the art program looks to teach individuals how to heal themselves and sustain the progress accomplished through therapy.  With education, manual therapy, education, movement pattern training, strengthening, ergonomic education, and more, we are proud to have incredible success with these individuals.  Want to know more about hypermobility and find out if you have it?  Give us a call!  We have experts in the field who are also hypermobile and understand how to work with the client with hypermobility.

ABDOMINAL PAIN

Chronic abdominal pain is a challenging presentation across healthcare. Our groundbreaking program utilizes different intervention strategies to help people recover from abdominal pain from a multitude of diagnoses.  We provide a holistic approach, including: education on the neuroscience of pain, evaluating aspects of each individual from the muscles of the abdomen, the nervous system, the spine, stress reactions, nutrition, hydration, sleep, and more.  All of these factors make up our primary approach to address abdominal pain.  We also have a post-operative abdominal program following gastrointestinal surgery.  This program develops a proper recovery strategy ensuring proper scar mobility, nervous system recovery, strength, and range of motion in order to live a long and healthy life!

HIV.jpg

HIV/AIDS

As many as 85% of people living with HIV (PLHIV) suffer from chronic pain. Given the state of the Opioid Epidemic, it is imperative to provide non-pharmaceutical pain relief seen with physical and occupational therapy.  Therapy is a wonderful option for safely and effectively managing musculoskeletal issues, neurological dysfunction, and general deconditioning that comes with living with HIV.  Our team has extensive training and respect for the individual living with HIV.  Please feel free to call for your evaluation as we would love to be a part of your health care team!

At Forefront, we believe in a collaborative approach to therapy involving parents/caregivers in treatment. Call to schedule your child today.

PELVIC HEALTH

Did you know that physical therapy is an amazing profession that can work with individuals with pelvic floor dysfunction?  From pelvic floor pain, pain with intercourse, incontinence, constipation, diastasis recti, pelvic organ prolapse, our specialists can help you!  Did you know that 12.8% of women who had never given birth report pelvic floor dysfunction? This percentage increases to 18.4% after one child, 24.6% after two children, and 32.4% after 3 or more children. We offer preventive screens, as well, because we believe that each woman would benefit from a consultation with a specialist following a pregnancy in order to improve quality of life, recovery, and prevent future issues that may present down the road!
